WEBSITE DESIGN & MANAGEMENT
Front Door Mortgage
The Challenge
Front Door Mortgage had an existing website, but it wasn't being actively used or maintained. As a result, the business had limited visibility online and was difficult to find through Google search.
The owners also wanted more control over their website without having to rely on a developer for every update.
My goal: Create a website that was easy for the owners to manage, reflected their personal brand, and gave prospective homeowners a reason to find, explore, and return to the site.

The Approach
Increase Accessibility
I redesigned and rebuilt the website using Wix, moving away from WordPress to a platform that was more intuitive for the owners to manage themselves.
This gave them greater control over their website and made it easier to:
-
Update information
-
Add new content
-
Make changes without technical assistance
-
Keep the website current and relevant
Elevated Branding
I designed the website around the owners' personal brand and preferences, creating a minimal, clean, and approachable aesthetic.
The goal was to make the website feel professional without being intimidating — particularly important for an audience who may already find mortgages and financial terminology overwhelming.

The Audience
The primary audience was prospective and current homeowners looking to better understand their mortgage options.
I approached the website with the assumption that visitors might have little knowledge beyond what they had learned from their bank.
Rather than relying on industry terminology, the website and content were designed to break down complex mortgage concepts into clear, accessible information that homeowners could understand before entering a conversation with a broker.

Content & SEO
A major part of the website strategy was building a consistent library of educational blog content.
I researched and wrote weekly blog articles covering mortgage-related topics, translating complex industry information into practical, easy-to-understand advice for the average homeowner.
The content strategy served two purposes:
Increase Digital Visibility
Regularly publishing relevant content helped expand the website's digital footprint and create more opportunities to appear in Google search results.
Build Audience Connection
Instead of simply promoting mortgage services, the blog gave prospective homeowners useful information they could actually use, helping establish the brokers as approachable and knowledgeable resources.

The Result
A website that was easier for the owners to manage, more reflective of their brand, and built around the needs of their target audience.
The combination of website redesign, SEO-focused content, and weekly educational blogs created a stronger digital presence and gave prospective homeowners a reason to discover and engage with Front Door Mortgage online.
